You can also got to the library by going to the finder, clicking on the "go" menu and holding down the option key.
Edit: If you do have a working client, save copies of those four files some place safe. Restore them when the client goes bad. I got 3 clones and will sometimes fix issues by copying those files from a working clone to a glitched clone. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

CCP Snorlax wrote:We have not had any luck in reproing this, but we have a patch going out tomorrow where we have at least an attempted fix.
I've gone through all changes to the graphics engine that went out in the patch that seems to have triggered the black screen on character select, and we're basically reverting those changes when running on a Mac. We're grasping at straws here, but I feel we have to try something. CCP Snorlax, maybe you should stop trying to repro it in house and just go look. Find someone close to you who has the issue and pay them a visit. That might take less time and money that you are spending on the issue now. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Or anyone who can be in Iceland. Say, at Fanfest. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

I run eve in windowed mode at normal screen resolution. Sometimes there is another screen connected (just because I happen to have it) but I do not put eve on it. (It was a hand-me down, and although physically larger than the screen on my MBP, smaller in pixels.)
I also run eve via clones, but I have tested it running off the main install.
However, I do not have any of these issues. For me eve has been playing very very well for the last several weeks. Even when testing off the main install.

Its not just Firefox. I had Eve up for an hour this morning with Firefox running as well with no issue. The traffic at the Jita undock was also not an issue (although I was there for just a few seconds.) Having Firefox running may be required to see this bug, but its not sufficient. Something else is happening on top of it. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

Could it be related to this problem?
"If you ask most MacBook Pro owners about their experience with CupertinoGÇÖs flagship notebook, theyGÇÖll probably have nothing but good things to say. However, thereGÇÖs a bunch of people on one thread in the official Apple forums that have been reporting issues with video on the Early 2011 MacBook Pro."

Manssell wrote:I havent had the black screen or flicker crash on my setup (just a lot more old fashion screen freezes). But last night I did notice something weird when I logged on. The authenticating process is taking a lot longer for me the last few days (and now that I really think about it since the last major update). Probably about 5 times as long as it used to (25 seconds or so compared to about 5 seconds before). What really caught my attention though was during one launch last night my screen did flicker in blocks just when it was starting to load, but only for a brief moment then it went ahead and loaded eve.
So I'm starting to wonder if this is really something that is affecting all macs, just some macs can power through it while others can't? Its only affecting a small number of Macs. All the one's CCP have do not have this issue. Mine does not. CCP says the number of Mac users that log in and play now is about the same as it was a few weeks ago. Its one thing that's making it so hard for CCP to find the issue, they have plenty of Macs, but none that show the bug. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |

* Vincent Athena wishes he could help with singularity.
But with a fully working client, what can I do? I guess I can at least make sure it did not get broken for me. http://vincentoneve.wordpress.com/ |
